Connecting some dots

I think it's a good tradition to connect some dots after some time you've spent hardly working on someone (hint: yourself) or something (no hints, plenty of options). But, at some point, I've come to the conclusion that it's not that easy as it seems. As an overthinking person, I'm having difficult times at this moment: what is the beginning? what are those criteria and names for my dots? What is the map I should place on myself not to get lost but finally find my orientation on this planet? So far, just a few answers (boring, usual, nothing new): everything is really subjective, and that's a good news and that's a bad news; you need to find out your dots and coordinate system yourself, no tools limitations. Okay, I prefer it would be something legal, painful and for a long time, but legal. Authentic, they say. Ha. Ha. Ha.
And in my brave attempt to connect some dots of last week, I put on my cosmonaut space suit and, cowardly looking back, get out of my capsule.
First things first, pretty ground, but still important, insight on potatoes: I can't live without them, boiled, baked, warm, as a separate dish and as a part of a construction. My peasant roots are calling, for sure.
Second, 'for some people small means safe' ("Beauty and the Beast" citation, not me). Totally applicable to me, stuck, stopped, slow and waiting for something. And, what the experience of psychotherapy has been teaching me is that you can't look at this from a negative perspective. Since safety is a basic human need, you can't ignore that, but you can gradually change your vision and feeling what is safe, and, probably, we can call that process 'evolution'. No one said about the indispensable feeling of pain coming together with this process. Healthy, natural pain of growing. Amen.
